NIDA is a 23-year-old Belgian-Lithuanian singer-songwriter and self-taught guitarist based in Brussels.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Hozier and Lizzy McAlpine, NIDA blends elements of pop, folk, and soul with an intimate and emotionally driven approach to songwriting.
She places as much importance on the meaning behind her English lyrics as she does on the melody of each song. Her songs draw from universal life experiences, while her voice and music are often described as soft, soothing, with a touch of melancholy.
Following the release of her debut single, “The Fall, ” NIDA released her first EP, “BLAME
THE OCEAN”, on May 15. Conceived as an intimate confession unfolding across five chapters, the project explores the many nuances of love, pays tribute to her roots through portraits of her parents, and traces a personal journey shaped by an accident and ultimately transformed into a search for resilience.
